The Common Core State Standards are listed in the weekly lesson plans for English 10 and English 12. The syllabus for AP Lit has been approved by the College Board which satisfies the CCSS requirements.

English 10
MondayStudents will read and study List of Common Fallacies. Read: "Does Great Literature Make us Better?" and "Reading Literature Makes us Smarter and Better." Identify Ethos, Logos, Pathos in both articles AND logical fallacies.

TuesdayStudents will be introduced to the Culminating Assessment found on the Rhetoric Page. Students will choose their speech and look at examples of rhetorical analysis essays.

WednesdayStudents will work on their Genius Hour TED talks.
