What are the teacher’s measurable goals, as directly related to Domain 2?
Classroom Management Goal:
My primary Classroom Management Goal for the 2014-2015 school year is to utilize technology to improve and maintain communication between students, parents/guardians, and myself. I plan to do this by maintaining a comprehensive Weebly site, using Google docs, and utilizing several applications and programs to enhance instruction.
Strategies/Activities: How will the teacher specifically implement the goals identified above?
To be clear, having 1:1 technology access for my students has changed EVERYTHING about how I view my role as teacher! I am able to communicate with my students and modify my lessons instantaneously. I can monitor progress more quickly and more effectively and I can give students more autonomy over their learning. I cannot express how positively my instruction has been impacted with 1:1 access in my classroom. My students use the iPads every single day. Sometimes they use the iPads to simply note the day's learning objectives. Sometimes they use the iPads to access links related to instruction. But, I feel my students are making the most use of the iPads when they are entrenched in Project Based Learning in which my role becomes that of the Overseer of Learning rather than the Director of Learning. I consistently utilize several tools including, but not limited to, the tools I mentioned in my goal statement. Many more of these tools and can be found on my TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES PAGE I cannot begin to explain the numerous specific uses of technology in my classroom - there are far too many to count - so I will simply say that the integration of technology in my classroom has been seamless, substantial, and spectacular.
